CHG Statement About Going Green

Green Statement

For many years, CHG, Inc. has been a leader in environmental stewardship and we are committed to being an environmentally responsible corporate citizen in the communities in which we operate.  Our commitment is to ensure our company facilities and operations are in full compliance with federal, state and local environmental standards and to promote sustainable resource management that balances our business, environmental and social obligations.

To this end, CHG and its employees promote and maintain a vigorous recycling program of metals, cardboard, glass, plastic, ink cartridges, computers and paper products to minimize waste throughout our facilities. To help conserve natural resources, we have installed energy-saving lighting  fixtures and water-conserving aerators on all of the plumbing fixtures throughout our facilities.  Our employees also take an active role to improve their work environment through our litter abatement and grounds beautification programs.  CHG also maintains a No Smoking policy on all premises to improve air quality and overall employee health. At CHG, we strive to reduce the use of environmentally unfriendly materials and processes in the production of our products and to reclaim and reuse as much material as possible.   Whenever possible, we use packaging and paper products manufactured from recycled materials.

We are also actively pursuing LEED certification through the US Green Building Council for our Encore plumbing products for water conservation and health safety.  CHG’s plumbing fixtures and Section 10 hardware are supplied with SANIGUARD antimicrobial product protection, which helps to reduce bacteria, molds and fungi that can cause odors, staining and product deterioration for the useful life of the product.  This coating can be maintained using simple soap and warm water, instead of harsh chemical cleaners.

Protecting the environment and our natural resources is a responsibility in which we all share. CHG is proud to be a global partner in the battle to preserve our Earth for the benefit and enjoyment of future generations.
